Large Brass Weather Forecaster by Negretti & Zambra 1915, London.

A unique and rare brass weather forecaster made in London by Negretti & Zambra, with preserved original lacquer. This forecaster is 12 cm (4 ¾ inch) in diameter, is based on Patent No. 6276 from 1915. The instrument consists of a circular frame and 2 rotating disks for setting the Wind direction, Barometric pressure and Direction of barometric changes. The directions for using the forecaster are engraved on the front disk. Interpretation of results is made possible with 60 forecasting sentences engraved on the middle disk (note that N&Z’s small version forecaster has only 26 forecasting sentences).
