A Watchmaker's Pump Drill with Ivory Flywheel. This is an ancient form of drill, capable of high speed rotation and therefore useful for drilling small sized holes in hard materials. The chuck and rod are made of molded steel, the cross arm and rod tip were turned from rosewood and the flywheel is made of high quality ivory.
