Seleucid coin under Hyrcanus I. This unusual and rare coin was minted by Antiochus the 7th during the reign period of John Hyrcanus I. Obverse side: An upside down anchor flanked by the Greek inscription “BAΣIΛΕΩΣ/ ANTIOXOY/EYEPΓETOY (of King Antiochus, the Benefactor). Below the anchor is the date BΠP (year 182 according to Seleucid calendar or year 131 BCE). On the reverse side: A silhouette of the Lily surrounded by dots. Reference: Hendin 451.
