An early kitchen chopper with a single wooden handle and heavy steel blade. This is a country primitive kitchen collectible with arched steel blade about 3.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Blade tang is pinned into handle. This instrument was used to slice strips of meat, or used like a Cook's knife (with the same rocking-sawing motion of the curved blade). It was mainly used as a chopper for fast and fine chopping of vegetables.
