Early 20th century industrial safety glasses. Steel oval frames and steel U bridge. Lenses are dark greenish glass. Attached to the frame are delicate steel net bowls, to protect the eyes and can fold in. Uniquely designed elastic shafts. The glasses come in their original cardboard case marked Willson Side shield Goggles patented January 22 1907 March 28 1916. The back has the same is Argentinean Spanish. Goggles in Excellent condition. Box is in poor shape. Willson Goggles Inc was opened in 1871 as Thomas A. Willson & Co., they manufactured eyeglasses and safety equipment. The company went on to produce safety goggles and gasmasks for both world wars. The company was purchased by Christian Dalloz in October 1989 and production ceased inl 2002
