This is a 19th century monocle made of concave glass with a gilt brass frame and a gold colored link chain. The gilt frame is delicately and beautifully beaded and engraved in geometric designs. There seems to have once been a gallery attached. Also included is a black leather round case with blue velvet lining. The diopter is +1.5 Provenances: Viennese private collector.
