A Little used Rosewood And Brass Mortise Gauge. Top condition rosewood head and stem with brass fittings along the stem gauge and stock plate. With two mortising spurs, one of them is perfectly movable by rotating a brass thumb screw. Signed Marpels. This is probably William Marples & Sons Hibernia Sheffield England. Made in England in the second half of the 19 century.
