The map depicts 3 maps of Canaan: Journeying of the Children of Israel, showing the Exodus route from Egypt through the Sinai Peninsula to the Land of Canaan. The map of Canaan adapted to the Old Testament shows the Kingdom of Israel, Kingdom of Judah and the Philistines. The map of Canaan adapted to the New Testament shows the 5 Roman divisions of Canaan: Galilee, Tetrarchy of Philip, Samaria, Judea, and Perea. William Rae McPhun started his Glasgow business at 155 Trongate st. in 1825 he died in 1877. The map was printed and colored by WH McFarlane Lithographer. Size 23 X 32 cm (9 X 12.5 inches)
