Pocket Self-Indicating Pendulum Lever Postal Scale Marked Nias Bruxelles. This nickel-plated brass pendulum postal scale was probably made in Belgium early in the 20th century. It is a miniature self-indicating scale where, once the load is in position, the counterbalance swings upwards to balance the load and an indicator points to the scale, giving the weight in units of Grams. The counterbalance is a pendulum type on the long arm. The range on this scale is 30 grams. Between 0 and 10 there are marks for every gram and then for every 5 grams. The scale is marked GH Nias Bruxelles.
