This is a set of 3 bow compasses with case marked Lawes Rabjohns Ltd. London. The set includes 3 center adjustment bow instruments 9.5 cm (3.7 inches) in size: Bow pen; Bow pencil; Bow dividers; The Dividers are used to transfer measurements, to step off a series of equal distances, and to divide lines into a number of equal parts. The adjusting screw is marked Lee Guinness England. The set is in its original fitted case, lined with blue silk and velvet pad (worn). The Lawes Brothers started their business in 1919. The Dacres Rabjohns started their business in 1922. In 1936 they registered a joint marketing company called, Associated Drawing Materials and Equipment Ltd, or 'Admel. In 1947 the Lawes Brothers and Dacres Rabjohns merged to form Lawes Rabjohns Ltd and in 1964 Lawes Rabjohns Ltd was re-named Admel International Ltd.
