This is a set of adjustable plated draftsman's trammels for accurately marking arcs and large radius circles that are too great for conventional compasses and dividers. They are made up of two plated clamps with replicable sharp steel points, one of which can be replaced to accept an ink pen. These trammels are usually clamped to a ruler of any length with one clamp capable of horizontal adjustment using a micrometer screw. The set is fitted in an original case lined with navy blue felt and silk.
